Flying discs have been hand-thrown from the get-go. But “faster, farther, more accurate” have always been human goals. And so it was inevitable that inventive people along the way came up with all sorts of creative methods to launch discs with extra power. From rubber band flingers to spring flippers to the latest rechargeable propeller-driven R/C saucers the examples found in this gallery of the Museum are remarkable for their breadth of imaginative propulsions.
