"Identifying Innova Minis, 1"—See Descriptor for Details

The quickest and easiest way to determine the mold and style of an Innova mini is to first look at the bottom tooling. If the tooling reads:
Tooling....................................... Mold................ Style

San Marino................................. Aero............ SMAero
None............................................ Aero............. NTAero
Ontario (Aero Top).................... Aero............... OAero
Ontario (Aviar Top).................... Aviar
INNOVADISCS (Aero Top)...... Mini Driver
INNOVADISCS (Aviar Top)...... Aviar Driver

To further identify the mini, you can look at the photographic comparisons of the different top and bottom configurations. Those combinations are as follows:
Aero Top, Aero Bottom = Aero
Aviar Top, Aero Bottom = Aviar
Aero Top, Driver Bottom = Mini Driver
Aviar Top, Driver Bottom = Aviar Driver

If the hot stamp has a date reference, another way to help identify the mold is by using the dates the mini molds were produced:
Aero = 1986-2006
Aviar = 2003-2006
Mini Driver = 2007-2009
Aviar Driver = 2009-Present
Below are examples of what a descriptor might look like for the various molds of Innova minis. The Plastic Type element is really used to show if a mini is Standard (non-golf weight) Golf weight, Star or Champion plastic. Currently we use the Disc Color element to describe UV or Glow. Not all minis have styles. Please see "Identifying Innova Minis" for detailed photos that show the differences and go to the Flying Disc Museum FB page, under the files section for a spreadsheet on the timeline details of the Innova mini.
