Special Notes: The Allen and Ginter Tobacco Company first released their "World Champions" trading cards in 1887 inside their cigarette packs. They featured various athletes, personalities, historical figures and other oddities in their sets. They became instantly collectable and are considered among the first ever trading cards. Topps revived the Allen and Ginter brand in 2006 with a mostly baseball set, but included other non-baseball subjects as a nod to it's roots. The sets include several variations of "mini" cards with dimensions of the original tobacco cards. The 2010 set included Avery Jenkins, which marks the first time a disc golfer was included in a major sports card brand's release. This variation is an autographed mini card that was pulled from a rip card. Rip cards are limited run cards exclusive to Allen and Ginter, that can be ripped open to reveal hidden cards inside. Rip cards are quite prized, and the cards inside are sometimes less valuable than the rip cards themselves. Sometimes, they are much more valuable. As such, it is a bit of a gamble on whether or not to open the rip card. It's likely that not all of the 10 copies of this card have surfaced.
