Now for the fours “style periods” of the Toltoys Regular--

1) First Style—this is with a New Times Roman font for Toltoys with the serif font on the front flight plate and the same on the underside for Toltoys font—and the words “Made Under License” written underneath--It also has no puddle on the underside and Pat Pend at the end of the text

I think this is the first run of Regulars that Toltoys made in 1965-66 to launch in December 1966 on the Gold Coast before Christmas sales—first run because of that MUL text to underscore the fact that these were legit discs made under the auspices of Wham-O and not just a cheap knock-off—and to scare off competitors?

2) Second style—Toltoys is now written in sans-serif Arial font on the front plate and underneath in all caps—and no MUL text
following— perhaps happy in the fact that people now recognize that these are legit discs made with Wham-Os blessings

These discs all seem to have some form of mold “puddle” in the middle and Pat Pend at the end of the text--

3) Third style—these are modern-looking Regulars in late-60s early 70s bright colors with sans-serif Arial font Toltoys on the front and no Toltoys font on the underside as per styles 1 & 2—why this was discontinued is anyone’s guess, because the text still has a Wham-O reference and a Pat Pend at the bottom of the text block—and a large puddle in the middle

4) Fourth style—this is pure conjecture now Mike—because I haven’t opened a packaged Toltoys Regular to check out this theory—but I’m guessing that because the Toltoys packaged Regulars have the US patent number for Frisbees on them, the disc itself will also sport the US Patent number—maybe we should carefully open one of the Toltoys plastic bags and have a look—the cardboard backing is preventing us from confirming this theory--
