Special Notes: Graphic is a knock-off of the Jimmy Scala 1976 NCS disc; however, the artwork image has been reversed and a visor has been added, the shirt graphics feature a prominent 7 on the front and stars on the extended sleeves, and the one visible sock has been lengthened slightly and has a "broken" stripe pattern. Two other elements have an even more curious twist, if you look closely—on the original NCS disc Jimmy is holding the disc slightly behind his left calf while the knock-off player shows the disc unobstructed by his leg. On the original Scala disc, Jimmy appears to be wearing Brooks field shoes while the Stinger knock-off looks to be wearing Adidas. The The image on the disc in the original Scala disc "features" a rough suggestion that he is holding the disc that we are looking at which is physically impossible, but after-the-fact artistic license gives us the historic wink and a nod! The knock-off disc in the graphic features a 5-point star. There is no tooling on the top or bottom of this disc. However, the bottom hot stamp reads: DISC SPORT LTD-MADE IN NEW ZEALAND in gold.
