Special Notes: This version of the UPA logo was designed by Neal Dambra in 1981, who won a design contest held by the UPA. Neal's design was chosen from 13 entries. It first appears on the UPA Newsletter Vol. 2, No. 3 issue, August–September 1981, which is also the issue that announces Neal's win.
The disc first appeared in Discovering the World's catalog in the Summer 1985 issue, highlighted as "Brand New."
