Dave says: "This is the disc I threw 412 feet, breaking the 400 foot barrier, on July 24, 1976 at the North American Series tournament held at M.I.T. in Cambridge, Massachusetts. 3 out of 5 of my throws that day traveled 400 feet or better, in warm breezy conditions. As T.D. of the tournament along with John Kirkland, I was officiating the distance competition and hadn't planned on competing, but was persuaded to by other competitors." Dave held the world distance record, first with a C.P.I. Saucer Tosser, then with a 119G World Class Frisbee from May 1974 to September 1978 when John Kirkland bested the record with a 444 foot toss.
