Special Notes:From the Davis Johnson Collection. Dave says: "This is a rare special edition of the original World Class line as an answer to the C.P.I. Saucer Tosser that top players were using for distance competitions because of its superior flight compared to the Wham-O Pro Model. In fact when Wham-O introduced the prototype of the 4-signature disc at the 1975 W.F.C. Rose Bowl, the C.P.I. held the distance world record set by myself at the May, 1974 Octad held at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Wham-O, realizing its Pro was outclassed by the C.P.I., bought the company, adopted its World Class Frisbee design from the C.P.I. and released them commercially in sporting goods stores with the signatures of the men and women winners of the 1975 W.F.C. Signees received a cut of the sales, fairly handsome compensation for the times! This particular example was not mass produced nor sold in stores. They also exist in green, blue, and yellow versions of the hot stamp design."
