Special Notes: The Flying Disc Collectors Association was created by Donn Blake in 1980. By joining his association, you would receive newsletters with all of the latest information on collecting, including dates and location of "Fly Markets", prices realized at big auctions, "Big Nickel" ads, true stories of how collectors found their tough ones, and you would get a list of all of the members and their collection interests. For Charter members only, you would receive a special limited edition 1981 Flying Disc Collectors Association serially numbered mini. Most of the numbers match the membership number of the collector. At the time, this was the most comprehensive source of news for collectors available. While we do not know for sure, it is entirely possible that his mini was created for Pat Kuthe. Pat was part of the Wham-O marketing team and a key liason for Donn Blake (founder of the FDCA) in obtaining the custom minis for the club. Pat was not officially a member so there is no number but it makes sense this was created for here as a thank you for her assistance in making the minis happen.
